About the event

The Jewish calendar is so much more than a linear tracking of days, weeks, months, and years. It is a canvas over which we write the stories of our lives. By understanding the basic mechanics of the Jewish calendar, we will explore the numerous cycles found within it and delve deeply into understanding how our ancestors made meaning in its patterns, and how we can find deeper relationships with those cycles. We will learn the how the calendar has evolved over thousands of years, why it has maintained its relevance over time and across geographical boundaries, explore some of its mysteries and lesser-known qualities, as well as investigate ways to make it more integrated and meaningful in our daily lives.
